The Discoverers

Patrons of the Museum of Science

Unrestricted operating support represents the most critical type of funding for the Museum. We are therefore pleased to recognize The Discoverers, philanthropists who generously give annual gifts of $2,500 or more, with a special range of opportunities that provide unique insights into the Museum's core activities.


All Discoverers receive:

  • Membership cards admitting up to eight people to the Exhibit Halls
  • Four member passes to each of the following: Omni films, Planetarium shows, and the Exhibit Halls*
  • Discounted purchases on tickets to the Butterfly Garden and 3-D Digital Cinema
  • Two hours of free parking every visit and a 10% discount on additional hours
  • Discounts on purchases in the Museum café and store
  • Invitations to members-only events
  • Waived service charge on advance ticket purchases
  • Subscriptions to Sparks member newsletter, Member ENews, and Discoverers ENews
  • Free or discounted admission to more than 400 science centers, museums, zoos, and aquariums worldwide
  • Advance notification and registration for members-only Museum overnights and the annual Halloween event
  • Invitation to a donor / member appreciation event
  • Advance notification and ticket purchase for the Let's Celebrate July 4th! rooftop event, sponsored by the Volunteer Service League
  • Recognition in the Museum's annual donor report
  • Complimentary copies of the new Museum of Science magazine
  • An opportunity to join The Innovators, our network of philanthropic young professionals (up to age 45)
  • Invitations to 3 exclusive Behind-The-Scenes Tours
