Sunday, September 30, 2007 - Tuesday, January 01, 2008
Take on the role of a crime scene investigator in this interactive exhibit that immerses visitors in simulated crime scenes and laboratories. Based on the hit CBS television franchise CSI, the exhibit features cutting-edge technology straight from the crime lab, offering a fascinating look into forensic science and investigative techniques while challenging visitors to form their own hypotheses in order to solve a "crime."
Become a part of the CSI team by stepping into a crime scene, and learn about how evidence is collected. Then, visit the team's laboratories to examine the evidence compare bullet casings to those in a database, or learn how to match a victim's DNA to a sample recovered at the scene. Finally, pay a visit to Grissom's office the workspace of CSI's quirky hero to go over the case and form a hypothesis on what really happened back at the scene of the crime.
CSI: The Experience maintains the spirit of the popular television series and contains some graphic content. Parental guidance suggested.
Don't Miss the Miniatures
Left behind as gruesome souvenirs by the CSI "miniature killer," tiny crime-scene dioramas are also used as teaching tools for investigators-in-training. See six authentic miniatures from the television series on display in the alcove overlooking our life-size Tyrannosaurus rex model (Concourse, Level 1). This mini-exhibit is free and open to the public during regular Exhibit Halls hours.
